Desperate to save the place, Miles assembles an absurd heist crew made entirely of museum employees: a sleepwalking security guard, a children’s puppeteer who knows ventilation systems better than people, an elderly taxidermist with a gambling addiction, and a failed illusionist banned from three European casinos. Their plan becomes increasingly chaotic as they navigate fake exhibits hiding real traps, wealthy collectors attending a masquerade gala, and a rival thief who believes the diamond grants political power.
As betrayals, accidental heroics, and public disasters pile up, the crew realizes the museum itself was designed as a giant misdirection puzzle by its eccentric founder. During a catastrophic gala finale involving animatronic sea monsters, exploding display cases, and a fake moon landing exhibit gone horribly wrong, Miles exposes the corrupt board live on the museum’s own projection system.
